Donato is a solitary adventurer and fisherman who fled his village because fishing had become too perilous in the Lowlands — a region affected by unknown Curses.

A native of the "Tortugan" colony, he belongs to a new species isolated in the secret village of Tortuga Island.

Robust in appearance but slow-moving; his quiet strength stems from the strategy of mastering the elements and his fishing rope.
